01 / A completed console
It began witha client’s sketch.
The console on this page is a finished commission. It was imagined for the entrance of a private London home and made in Udaipur Green Marble by The Star Murti Museum, the Jaipur workshop behind Alvora.
The design changed on its way into stone. During the stability review, one central support became two.
It is not a stocked product or a fixed specification. A new bespoke marble console table starts from your wall, not from this one.
European Product Design Award · 2026This console, entered as “Bidasar: Inorganically Organic”, was named a Winner in Home / Home Furniture.

What a custom consoleasks of you.
Three things decide a custom console table. You do not need every answer to enquire.
- 01
The wall.
Share the wall, the circulation space around it and what the piece will hold. A photograph or a simple plan helps. Approximate dimensions with units are enough to begin.
- 02
The stone.
Describe the colours and surface character you prefer. Suitable stone, available block references and finish are discussed before specifications and a quotation are agreed. Natural tone and veining vary from one block to another.
- 03
The support.
The top and what carries it are considered together. Size, weight, support and fixing requirements are reviewed for the individual project, and the form may develop during that review, as it did in London.

03 / The concept
A first picture,before the stone.
The concept studio asks five short questions: the piece, its style, its size, its materials and where it will live. Your answers build a concept sheet beside you.
You can render a first picture of the console, then email the sheet to Naman. The image shown here is an example concept of a side table, not a made piece.
Questions before you begin
Commissioning aconsole table.
What size can a custom marble console table be?
There is no standard size. Share the width of the wall, the depth you can give to the piece and the height you want, with units. A rough measurement is enough to begin. Final dimensions are agreed after the workshop has reviewed weight, support and fixing.
How is the marble chosen?
Start with a colour or a stone you have in mind. Tell us whether you prefer quiet or dramatic veining and a polished or matte appearance. Suitable stone and available block references are then discussed with you. Veining varies from block to block, so a photograph or a render cannot guarantee an exact match.
How does the concept render work?
Answer five short questions in the concept studio and a concept sheet builds beside you. You can render a first picture of the idea, then email the sheet to Naman. The render is a visual starting point. It is not a quotation, a dimensioned drawing or a promise that the piece can be made exactly as pictured.
Can a marble console table be delivered outside India?
Yes. The console on this page was made in Jaipur and installed in a private home in London. For an international enquiry, include your city and postal code. Packing, freight, insurance, import responsibilities, unloading and installation are set out in your quotation. Timing is confirmed separately for each commission.
How do I start a console commission?
Use the commission composer at the end of this page. A sketch, a reference or a sentence about the room is enough. An enquiry is not an order. Design scope, feasibility and fees are agreed before work proceeds.

Your answers stay in your browser until you press a button. “Email my concept” sends your sheet, and a link to your render if you made one, to Naman through this website. WhatsApp opens a draft with The Star Murti Museum, the workshop behind Alvora. A render sends your description, and any reference image you add, to an image service to produce the picture. This is a conversation, not an order: material, scale, feasibility, design-development scope and any fees are reviewed for each commission. See our privacy notice.
